Junior D

Nothing lost in defeat on historic day for the club

Meath Junior D Football Championship Round 1

Kilmainham 4-07 Seneschalstown 2-10

Sunday April 17th marked a historic first for Seneschalstown as they fielded a fourth team in the adult championship for the first time. A number of absentees from the preceding Junior C game saw numbers tight for the D’s but to the credit of the club they still managed to eventually field 16 for the match after manager Tony McDonnell had spent an anxious time pre match staring at the gate looking for late arrivals and also running up a hefty phone bill wondering where fellas were.

Delight for devastating D's

Meath Junior D Football Championship Final

Seneschalstown 3-11 Curraha 2-10

Introducing the junior d panel

Christopher Dunleavy: Plays either in midfield or anywhere along the half forward line. Will look to make a major contribution if introduced to the fray.

Colin Walsh: Having not played any football in 2014 Colin Walsh has returned with a bang this year. Earning rave reviews in each
game he plays as he regularly turns in a defensive masterclass. Equally adept at keeping the opposition danger man quiet or bursting out of defence with the ball.

Conor Cantwell: A hardworking defender who is one of the key performers for this year’s Minor side anywhere along the half back line.
