Laois Champions Sarsfields qualified for the Leinster Senior Club Ladies Football Semi-final when they outscored Meath title holders Seneschalstown by five points in a thrilling quarter final game on Saturday 1st Oct in Seneschalstown. The heavy rain over the previous 24 hours made the pitch extremely difficult for the players, and certainly affected the standard of play, but with the game in the melting pot for 55 minutes there was no shortage of entertainment for the large crowd.

Seneschalstown regained the Ladies SFC title at Ashbourne on Friday night when proving too strong for first time finalists Na Fianna.
Na Fianna made life difficult for Seneschalstown early on before the Yellow Furze outfit stamped their superiority on proceedings to run out decisive and deserving winners.
Seneschalstown were never headed but Na Fianna regained parity having conceded the opening two points to Mary Sheridan.
There was just one point, 0-3 to 0-4, between the sides when Rebecca Smullen landed a free in the 22nd minute.
Congratualtions to Mary Sheridan and Grainne Nulty who were selected on the team of the league 2011. The girls were presentated with ther awards last night at a function in Croke Park.

The clash of the titans of Meath Ladies football got underway for 2011 when Seneschalstown and St.Ultan's met in Round 2 of the Div 1 League last Wednesday in Seneschalstown. Seneschalstown Senior Ladies laid down the gauntlet for 2011 to the current County champions and this will make an exciting year for both teams in their preparation for the 2011 championship campaign.

An epic Ladies SFC reached a thrilling conclusion at Ashbourne on Saturday as St Ultan's dethroned defending champions Seneschalstown with an outstanding performance to claim the Mannering Cup. In a campaign that saw promoted Na Fianna produce several shocks, St Ultan's lose to Boardsmill and Seneschalstown coast into the final with a devastating semi-final win over Boardsmill, few could have expected another amazing twist.
