Michael Reilly RIP
It was with great sadness that we learned last week of the passing of Michael Reilly. Michael was a great supporter of the club and back when our clubhouse was being built in the 1970’s spent a huge amount of time on site working on the build. As a fitter his expertise was a crucial aspect of the build and we are grateful for the many hours and days which he spent assisting with its construction.

Michael’s family have also been heavily involved over the years with his daughters running the shop which used to be in operation in the clubhouse on days when there would be a club sports on, helping bring in much needed revenue to the club. Michaels’ wife, Claire was also a regular person to help out back in those days, and indeed is pictured in the book produced for our Golden Jubilee serving up tea on one of those occasions. May he rest in peace.

Senior
Our defence of the Feis Cup ended last Wednesday when St. Patrick’s came out on top in the quarter final by 3-11 to 1-11. Despite getting the margin back to one point during the second half the team was unable to keep their momentum going and with the aid of a late goal St. Patrick’s pulled away to win by six.

Next up is a League game this evening away to Simonstown Gaels which throws in at 20:00.

In the Hoganstand.com Senior Football Championship the Seniors next face Donaghmore/Ashbourne in Stamullen on Sunday May 24th at 15:30.

Junior B
Donaghmore/Ashbourne were the visitors to Fr. Tully Park on Monday evening in Round 5 of the B League Division 1 and the gap between Junior B and Intermediate sides proved too big as the men from Ashbourne ran out comfortable winners by 3-14 to 1-08.

Next up is a Round 6 game away to Skryne on Sunday at 12:00.

Junior D
The Junior D’s took on Clonard in Fr. Tully Park on Tuesday evening and it was the men from the west of the county who emerged victorious when winning by 2-14 to 2-08.

On Saturday they will look to get back to winning ways when travelling to Drumconrath to take on their hosts at 19:30.

Minor
The LMFM Minor League Division 3 semi-final against Na Fianna will take place in Fr. Tully Park on Monday May 18th at 19:30 against Na Fianna. All support welcome in the field to cheer on this promising side.

Under 16
The U-16’s got back to winning ways on Tuesday evening when travelling to Ballivor and coming home with the points. The final score was Seneschalstown 1-17 Ballivor 3-07.

Under 14
On an evening when they didn’t raise the white flag too often the U-14’s still managed to defeat the home side when taking on Trim last Thursday. Thanks to hitting the back of the net eight times they managed to win by 8-04 to 5-07.

Under 12
Our U-12 team take on Navan O’Mahonys in the latest round of the League on Saturday evening in Brews Hill at 17:00.

Seneschalstown Nursery
The U-6, U-8 and U-10 sides will all have coaching in Kentstown on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00.

Girls Under 16
Following a game which was incredibly tense and close the U-16 Girls lost out to Navan O’Mahonys in the Division 2 Shield Final on Saturday in Walterstown. The girls led by a point at half time but again the final whistle sounded they found themselves one behind, Navan O’Mahonys 2-07 Seneschalstown 2-06. This was a superb display in defeat and there is no doubt these girls will go on to win many finals in the future

Girls Under 14:
Millbrook will be the venue on Sunday at 19:00 when our U-14 Girls take on Oldcastle in the semi-final of the Division 2 League. Oldcastle won the group match between these two sides but the girls will be confident of overturning this result and qualifying for the final.

Coaching continues for this brilliant side on Monday evenings from 19:00 – 20:00 in Fr. Tully Park.
