Senior
Our Senior team fell to defeat last Thursday in Round 5 of the A League Division 1 when Donaghmore/Ashbourne proved too strong in Fr. Tully Park. On an evening when the forward line struggled to get going they went under by 3-09 to 1-06.

They will look to kick-start their League campaign on Wednesday May 13th when they take on Simonstown Gaels in Round 6 at 19:30 in Simonstown.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, they play St. Patrick’s in the quarter final of the Feis Cup in Slane at 19:30.

Tickets are priced at €20 and are available from all dancers and committee members.

Minor
Oldcastle were the visitors to Fr. Tully Park last Friday evening in a game where the winners would guarantee themselves a home semi-final. Seneschalstown suffered the loss of two key players through injury in the opening stages of the game but were still tied with a minute of the hour remaining. However Oldcastle hit them with a sucker punch of 1-03 in the space of two minutes to eventually win by 4-13 to 3-10 and seal top spot in the Division for the North Meath side.

Seneschalstown though still managed to secure a home semi-final when St. Patrick’s defeated Na Fianna in a result which secured the Stamullen side a semi-final spot and also ensured Seneschalstown finished second in the table and that home semi-final.

Seneschalstown Nursery
Unfortunately due to the monsoon like conditions the U-8’s and U-10’s Go Games Blitz in St. Colmcilles had to be cancelled last Saturday, as did the U-6 coaching.
This weekend the Club Nursery coaching will be in the school in Kentstown where on Saturday morning at 11:00 there will be coaching for the U-6, U-8 and U-10 teams.

Girls Under 16
On Monday evening against a superb Royal Gaels team in Dunshaughlin our U-16 Girls put in a tremendous performance before ultimately going down to their hosts by four points, 1-12 to 2-05 in the League semi-final.
This was an extremely gutsy performance from this very young team and while they didn’t manage the victory they certainly enhanced their reputation as a team to watch for the future.
Next up for the girls is the Shield Final on Saturday where they will take on Navan O’Mahonys in Walterstown at 12:00.
Please note a charge of €5 per car will apply for Saturday’s final.

Meath Ladies U-16
Saturday proved to be an excellent day for Kiah Geraghty and the Meath U-16’s as they overcame the challenge of Laois by 3-08 to 3-13. Following this win Kiah and her teammates have qualified for the Leinster Final which will be played on May 17th when they will face off against Dublin.

Meath Ladies U-14
It was also a very good weekend for the Meath U-14’s as Sorcha Gough and her teammates also qualified for the Leinster Final when they defeated Kildare by 6-10 to 2-09. Sorcha had a superb game and as well as performing her defensive duties with aplomb managed to chip in with two points.
