Seneschalstown 8-17 Na Fianna 1-08

Seneschalstown hosted Na Fianna for their 5th game in Div. 2 of the U-16 league and although the Na Fianna lads never gave up Seneschalstown were just too strong on the evening and ran out worthy winners

Both sides gave excellent displays for good football throughout but the Seneschalstown lads hard work all over the pitch really showed and were clinical in front of the posts with goals in the first half from Will Finnegan (2), Sean Commons (2) and Seanie Dalton setting the scene as well as points from Sean Commons, Joseph Moore, Kit Waddington and Ross Mullen.

Half Time:
Seneschalstown: 5 – 06
Na Fianna: 1 – 05

The second half saw the Seneschalstown lads continue their scoring rate but with great defensive displays from Ben Coffey and Conor Dunne in the full back line with Cathal Hickey, Woodley Nicholson and Josh Ryan in the half back line this set up scores for the forwards, with further scores coming from Sean Commons, Kit Waddington, Josh Ryan, Joseph Moore in a fine all round team display.

Overall this was a fine display of hard work and scoring for the full 60 mins which is what’s it’s going to take for their upcoming fixtures against Wolfe Tones and Skyrne.

Best for Seneschalstown were Ben Coffey, Josh Ryan, Woodley Nicholson, Kit Waddington, Sean Commons, and Ross Mullen.
