Seneschalstown got proceedings underway on the main pitch at 12:00 against Donaghmore/Ashbourne and after a strong performance came out on top on a 3-01 to 1-00 score line

Next up was Simonstown on the second pitch at 13.35. A very tight affair followed and a late penalty gave Simonstown a 2 point win on a 1-04 to 1-02 score line.

Next up on the second pitch a game against St Colmcilles at 14.15. While Seneschalstown got the opening score, St Colmcilles had the upper hand for most of the first half until a late goal put the Furze girls 1 point ahead at the break. Sensing a chance for revenge for last Monday nights League defeat to the same opposition the girls pushed on to record a 2-05 to 1-03 victory.

Last up was a game on the main pitch against old adversaries Skryne. The Furze girls got off to a great start with 1-01 in the first 5 minutes but 2 points from Skryne had the HT score at 1-01 to 0-02. A Skryne goal early in the second half put them in front for the first time. Scoring 1-03 in the last 10 minutes and keeping the hosts scoreless for the remainder put the Furze girl’s top of the group after completing their 4 games and guaranteeing them at least a playoff.

When Simonstown defeated St Colmcilles in the penultimate game the Furze girls were guaranteed a place in the semi-final in Dunganny at 15.15 where they will play Royal Gaels from Dunshaughlin.
