Seneschalstown started this game having come off two disappoint defeats so were under some pressure to get maximum points and true to form started off with three quick points within 7 mins from James Meade, Brian Maguire and Shane Clarke but were then rocked when a mistake in the full back line allowed the Oldcastle full forward gain possession and he scored their goal, Oldcastle went on to record another 3 points without reply and

Seneschalstown were finding it hard to score but found their composure to come back with further scoes from Mark Fox, Brian Maguire (two) and Dylan Doyle to lead by one point at half time.

The second half had a similar pattern with a lot of possession but we were finding it hard to find the final score and kicked a lot of wides but to be fair to the lads they never gave up and the work rate through could not be questioned.

We traded scores with Oldcastle but eventually got a few scores with two free’s from Stephen Finnegan, Brendan Lynch and Eddie Meade before running out narrow but deserved winners by 3 points.
