Club Lotto: The club lotto jackpot is now at €10,000. The lotto draw takes place every Monday night and can be played at the Smart Lotto link here: https://buff.ly/3naw02Q

All proceeds from the club lotto for the month of October will go straight to the Friends of Maureen & Sinead fund, so your support for this is greatly appreciated.

Meath Senior Football Championship: Our Senior Men secured their place in the 2022 Meath Senior Football Championship with a two point win over Dunshaughlin in the Relegation Ply-Off on Friday night. Trailing by four points after 41 minutes, the lads dug in to kick the last six points on the bounce to ensure a 54th consecutive year in the Senior grade next year. You can read the match report here: https://www.seneschalstowngaa.com/content/status-maintained-lyons-and-cla…

Friday night also saw the end of two illustrious playing careers on the Senior Men’s panel. Bryan Clarke and David Lyons both announced their retirements after the game, having given many tremendous years’ service to the club. Both men were permanent features on our Keegan Cup winning teams of 2007 and 2009.

In 2007, Bryan kicked 0-09 in the Keegan Cup Final replay against Navan O’Mahony’s and was duly awarded the Colm Cromwell trophy for the Man of the Match award.
In the 2009 final replay, David produced a stunning last gasp save to claw away a late effort from Gordon Beggy to keep us in front and earn the club a fourth Meath SFC title and second in three years.

From 55 metre frees to top drawer saves, thank you to both men for bringing many, many glorious moments to our supporters down through the years. You will certainly be missed!

Meath LGFA Championship: Our magnificent Senior Ladies team followed up on Sunday morning by qualifying for the semi finals of the Kepak Senior Championship, also after a two point victory over Dubshaughlin side Royal Gaels. The contribution of Orla Finnegan was instrumental in the victory with a personal tally of 1-03 of her side’s 1-08 total on the day. The win earns the girls top spot and a semi-final date with Oldcastle on Sunday 24th October in Dunganny. You can read the match report from that game here: https://www.seneschalstowngaa.com/content/finnegan-fore-ladies-advance

Premier Championship: Our Premier Division 4 team have made it through to the final of the Championship for the second year in a row after a comfortable win over Clann nan Gael on Saturday. The team lead from start to finish and were insulated against a second half comeback by goals from Tommy Ledwidge and James Conlon.
