Meath LGFA: Meath’s remarkable season on their return to the TG4 Senior Championship continued today when they overturned beaten 2020 All-Ireland semi-finalists Armagh with a swashbuckling display in Clones this afternoon. With Stacey Grimes chipping in with 0-03, Meath won out by 3-15 to 1-14. This sets up a semi-final tussle with Cork, a rematch of the Round 1 encounter where Meath were desperately unlucky to come up short against the Rebelettes. The semi-final takes place on the weekend of August 14th, with an exact date and time to be confirmed.

Club Camp: Places at our Club Camp, running from August 16th to 20th, are running out quickly so make sure you book soon to avoid disappointment. There will be plenty of fun activities throughout the week and special visits from our own Meath stars Cathal Hickey and Stacey Grimes, as well as Niamh O’Sullivan. You can book your place at the following link: https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klubfunder.com%2FClubs%2FSeneschalstown%2520GFC%2FGeneralPayment%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR19DJoJTEu0M_yUIBzCIs30q0jcU-rFCn9uanpUuJ2rJqNj-p4oSwJBsTM&h=AT1Rf3J1yd7xnNJfYWy_D0APARENmLkVdxXNddm3xxKVSVclL-LCmqTJTWYHRscOeOVZegFuvZzovnZiOnn5Gts42ApfQzwIh4GXiYWar6c7k-U-PIaklxKO0bLZ–YtOTmiSQXTKw&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]=AT2JrMWF5jXxCcg7fzpelef79eG1zIqU4-bcO0bHzOkVvY_GGqqGc_dIvU0UuPFh8LVEOVySNV8OYQ7R2oVdbUvUnqOwSlrULTQ3jfT68NMWoTqGJZP5YylKV87HWClASNi9pPKp9S_r75z93STI6qrFQfjYW6dbb2FPXhXA9ykS4i0j9uDDkTiRU_Ct-II5F2jhPUM

Meath LGFA Championship Draw: The Meath LGFA Club Championship Draws will take place tomorrow evening, Monday, at 7:30pm.

Premier Championship: Our Premier Championship teams had mixed fortunes in their latest round of championship games this week.

On Thursday evening, our Division 4 team made it two wins from three outings when they battled to see off St. Ultan’s at Sean Newman Park. Trailing by five points early in the second half, goals from the Mullen brothers Owen and Ross helped turn things around and in the end come out three point winners, 2-13 to 2-10.

The team was: Brian Boyd, Tom Smyth, Conor Cowley, Louie Healy, Richie McKeown, Cormac Duffy, Seanie Dalton, Neil Darby, Damien Sheridan, Oisín McEvoy (0-01), Will Finnegan (0-5), Brendan Lynch (0-01), Ross Mullen (1-06), Dylan Doyle, Ben Kearney.

Subs: Colin Gleeson, Cormac Mullen, Owen Mullen (1-00), Joe Cowley, Shane Mulvany.

On Friday evening, an understrength Premier Division 1 team came unstuck for the first time this year when going down to Trim by eight points. You can read the match report here: https://www.seneschalstowngaa.com/content/juniors-run-out-gas

Minor Boys: Hard luck to our Minor boys who went down to Ratoath in their Minor Football League Division 1 clash on Tuesday night.

U16 Girls: The U16 girls comfortably defeated Clann na nGael on Friday night to secure themselves a semi-final spot, with a fixture to be confirmed in due course.

U15 Boys: Our U15 boys fell to their first defeat when losing to table toppers St. Colmcille’s on Saturday afternoon in the U15 League Division 1.
