Seneschalstown GFC Club Notes 20th June 2021

Membership: Membership for 2021 is now due and can be paid through ‘Foireann’ at the following link: https://returntoplay.gaa.ie/

Membership rates for 2021 as follows:
• Adult Player €100 (will rise to €120 from 10th July 2021
• Non-Playing Adult Membership €60
• Family Membership €175 (consists of two non-playing adults and two children U17)
• Juvenile Membership €70
• Social Membership €20

Meath SFC: The draw for the 2021 Meath Senior Football Championship was made on Sunday afternoon. We have been drawn in Group D, alongside Summerhill, St. Peter’s Dunboyne and Skryne. When the championship commences in mid-August, we will face Summerhill in the 1st Round.

Senior Men: On Wednesday night, the Senior Men registered their first win of the new campaign when defeating Wolfe Tones by two points in Fr. Tully Park, 2-9 to 0-13. This Wednesday, the lads travel to Ratoath to play the hosts in Round 3 of the Feis Cup at 7:45.

Senior Ladies: Our Senior Ladies took on Simonstown Gaels in their first league outing on Monday night last, and despite a strong performance came up just short in the end on a scoreline of 3-8 to 2-9. On Monday night coming, they host St. Michael’s in Round 2 at 7:30pm.

Junior Ladies: Our Junior Ladies played Clonard this evening in the league and unfortunately went down to a stronger side This is quite a young team with many U16 players making their debuts at this level in the last few weeks.

Minor Boys: Our Minor Boys commence their Division 1 league campaign with a home match against St. Patrick’s on Tuesday evening at 7:30. Best of luck to the lads.

U16 Girls: U16 Girls play away to Ballivor on Tuesday night at 8:15pm, looking to back up their opening round win over Na Fianna.

U15 Boys: The U15 boys start their new season with a home game against Trim next Saturday at 2pm.

U13 Boys: U13 Boys play away to Dunshaughlin this Friday at 6:45pm

U12 Girls: Our U12 Blue team are in action on Tuesday night at home to Duleek/Bellewstown at 7:30pm.

U11 Boys: The U11 Boys travel to play St. Ultans/Cortown Gaels this Wednesday at 6:45pm.

Meath LGFA: Meath take on Kerry next Saturday in the Lidl National Football League Division 2 final at Croke Park at 5:00pm. Best of luck to Stacey Grimes, Caragh Monaghan and Aoibhe Monaghan as Meath look to bring home the Division 2 trophy and seek promotion to Division 1.

Meath GAA Fundraiser: Meath County Board are running a EuroMillions Syndicate Fundraiser to support the running costs of county teams and club competitions. With other fundraising events having to be cancelled owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, this fundraiser will benefit all aspects of Meath GAA from the juveniles right up to the adult section. All entrants will take part in EuroMillions syndicate for a one year period, costing €500 per entrant.
