Meath LGFA Championship: Our Senior Ladies played out an exciting 0-12 each draw with Simonstown Gaels in Round 2 of the Kepak Senior Championship on Sunday morning. Trailing by 3 points in injury time, three late points earned the home side a deserved draw. If the team avoid defeat in their last match away to Royal Gaels, they will qualify for the semi-finals. You can read the match report from the Simonstown game here: https://www.seneschalstowngaa.com/content/grimes-grabs-draw-gaels-held

Our Junior C Ladies play away to Na Fianna next Saturday at 5pm.

Premier Championship Division 4: Our Premier Division 4 team were unfortunate to lose out to a strong Blackhall Gaels side in the final round of group matches on Saturday evening, by 2-11 to 0-10. The defeat however, didn’t affect their qualification chances as they know they will play Clann na Gael in the semi-final. With a number of outstanding matches still to be played, results elsewhere will decide whether the team will have to travel to Athboy for the second time this year for that last four tie, or if the game will be played in Fr. Tully Park.

We will post fixture details as soon as we have them.

Minor Boys: Our Minor Boys went down to Simonstown Gaels in Round 2 of the LMFM Minor Football Championship Division 2A on Saturday lunchtime. Having been reduced to 13 men by the end, the lads dug deep to try and claw back the game late on but ultimately were defeated. The team still have a mathematical chance of making the semi-finals if results go their way in the last round in two weeks time.

U15 Boys: On Wednesday night, the Under 15 Boys put in a terrific performance in the final of the Under 15 Football League Division 1 Final. After leading by a point at half time, 2-06 to 2-05, the team were three ahead at the second water break but St. Colmcille’s were stronger in the final quarter and deserved their win based on the last minutes. The game finished 5-08 to 3-07 in their favour, a margin harsh on our lads but they did battle until the very end. Jamie Norris (2) and Aran Carey got the goals on the night.

U13 Boys: Well done to the Under 13 Boys who won away to Duleek/Bellewstown over the weekend on a score line of 5-07 to 3-12.
