Tones Too Strong in Opener

Tommy Dowd Oil Football League Division 5

Seneschalstown 2-03 Wolfe Tones 3-25

Seneschalstown went down to a strong Wolfe Tones outfit in the opening round of the Tommy Dowd Oil Football League Division 5 on Sunday afternoon.   Wolfe Tones dominated from start to finish and had kicked 13 points before Kyle Hosie opened Seneschalstown’s account in the 25th minute.   James Conlon kicked Seneschalstown’s point before the break but a goal for the Tones made Seneschalstown’s task an extremely tall one after the break.

It got worse for the home side upon the resumption as Wolfe Tones found the net straight away, and they continued to tag on scores to their tally.   Seneschalstown did manage to find the net twice during the second period, through substitute Seán Davis and  James Conlon, while Jamie Kirwan also kicked a point.

However, Tones were not to be stopped and Seneschalstown must regrouo quickly before heading to Moylagh next Sunday morning.
